weekend update

danny has been on a crazy schedule for this project and had to work all weekend but before he left us saturday we went and had an all american, gourmet breakfast at krispy kreme :)


she doesn't eat too many things, but even she can't turn down this!


the rest of the day the girls and i hung at home . .

sunday i ventured to church on my own with the girls (they were angels!) and then we went downtown to have lunch with danny.

because of the work load danny's had for the past few months he wasn't able to take too much time off with maren but he's taking this next whole week off and i'm looking forward to a relaxing week at home with our girls!

fun fair

a neighborhood church had a little fun fair today with a bouncy house and slide. the girls and i stopped by for a bit - they loved it :)

the great outdoors!

we had our first real spring day today, after almost 2 months of straight rain! it was 60 degrees and sunny so we headed outdoors! it was a good chance for norah to practice some more. up until recently she's never walked in public places or even on the playground - but she did great today!!

funny girls!

i took norah out on friday to find her some shoes and left danny to watch the others. it was the first time i was leaving maren and ella assured me she would take over my duties:

ella: "i'll babysit! i just need to get a burb rag first. but i won't feed her from my booby! i don't drink plain milk!"

danny: "is that how you think mommy gets her milk?"

ella: "yes, and i don't drink plain milk, only chocolate so i can't feed maren!"

dinner is always very loud and sometimes crazy in our house. last night danny tried to introduce the girls to the quiet game:

layla: (after about 3 seconds) "oh well daddy, i'm just not that quiet!"

test drive!

norah got her orthotics on friday and she's been test driving them around all weekend. by tomorrow she will be wearing them all day. she doesn't seem to mind putting them on but she is definitely ready when it's time to take them off! she's still trying to find her balance in them - falling a bit more - but we're told she'll get the hang of it soon enough.
