a star is born!

our church had their annual children's christmas pageant on wednesday and ella's class was the little star angels who sang a few songs before the play began. she did a great job - singing very loudly!! she loved it and so did i :) santa visited our church after the program ended, but as always, ella & layla wanted nothing to do with him! layla actually cried and ran out of the room when he walked in and ella got to the front of the line and then cried . . very "A Christmas Story" like :)

danny had to tell santa what the girls wanted :)

god bless the mister who comes between these sisters!

6 months!

Norah was 6 months old on friday! We have her check-up in 2 weeks (apparently pediatricians get pretty backed up this time of year!). She is doing just wonderfully! She's rolling over and is working on sitting up at the moment. She has the 1 or 2 secs where she can sit up on her own if you let her go, but then she flops! She's not the best of sleepers, but none of our girls have been, so we're used to it - but she is always a happy baby!

she's a big girl now!

with a little help, norah is now eating in her high chair! we've got her up to about 2 jars a day and in the last week she's begun wearing 9 month sized clothes so maybe the pounds are finally coming!

catching up . . as usual!

as always, i'm playing catch up :)
we've had layla back and forth to the doctor trying to get this asthma under control and after 3 different meds, we've settled on nebulizer treatments 2-3 times a day. it's a pain, but she is finally OK sitting through about a 10 min treatment and it seems to have done the trick so thank goodness!
we traveled to dothan for thanksgiving, already got our christmas tree, and just celebrated ella's 4th birthday . . .not to mention just the little moments of daily life . . sooooo . . enjoy the pix! i hope all of you are having a wonderful advent season!

Ella's birthday party!

We celebrated Ella's 4th birthday today with many friends and wonderful family! This is the first birthday of any of my kids, that we have been near family so i felt especially blessed!! Ella had 8 little friends over to play and i made a cake and there was a pinata - of course it all had a princess theme :) it was such a great day . . the time really does fly by . . my baby is 4!!!!!!
ella kept telling me i made her the most beautiful cake and kept thanking me! she is the sweetest!

mamas and daughters!

my mom and i at the amy grant concert over the weekend!

a relaxing moment with my girls!

my norah bear!

norah is changing everyday! it's amazing that even after watching two other little girls go through all these milestones, it never gets old! i love watching norah eat new foods for the first time . . we've found out she hates green beans, peas, and squash, but LOVES pears, applesauce, peaches, and sweet potatoes - the verdict remains out on bananas! she is rolling over (both ways!) more and more - even though that makes life a bit more tricky now, we love it! she is trying sit up as well as getting stronger on her tummy! she's mostly sleeping through the night and has found her cute, sometimes very loud, voice! she has cut 3 bottom teeth and STILL remains to be such a happy baby!! we are blessed!!!

upgrade!

norah outgrew her bath tub hammock, so now she's been upgraded :) she loves loves loves her bath! and tonight her older sisters decided to join her! i think we're gonna need a bigger tub!

Birthday weekend!

Danny turned 30 this weekend! We had stayed busy with Auburn Homecoming and taking the girls to Disney on Ice - what better way to ring in your 30's?!?! :)

My mom and dad got us tickets for Danny's b-day . .it was wonderful football weather! (sorry for the glare)

We were given vouchers for Disney on Ice, so at the very last minute, we decided to take the girls, and i was soooo glad we did! we saw all the princess (except Aurora), Mickey, Minnie, Nemo & Dori, Toy Story, and sooo many other Disney characters! The girls were so excited, it was just a little preview of what Disney World will be like :)

Ella had her hand on her head most of the time - like she was in disbelief of what she was seeing! Layla was mezmorized . . it looks like danny was as well :)

Layla got the most excited when Snow White came out! She threw out her arms and started singing "Someday My Prince Will Come!"

trying to get a family pic during intermission :)

Norah was nice enough to sleep on me for the entire show!

Layla waving good-bye to everyone! They did not want to go home!

I tried to get a few pix of the ice skaters but it proved very difficult!
this was all the prinesses dancing together at the end
