celebrated the big 2-8 today :) and we hit the 12 week mark yesterday :) the pooch is beginning to show - i'm still making into my regular jeans - but i broke out the maternity shirts just because!
these were taken last week at the park/free concert we go to every thursday! this was the only band the girls really jammed to! and the only one norah slept through!
the girls went on their very first hike (walking on their own, that is!) yesterday up in the mountains! we started them w/ an easy one - 2 miles round trip w/ an elevation gain of only 250 feet! they loved it!! we hiked to the Ice Caves and it had a little bit of everything . . forests, water, bridges, mountains, etc. . so it was able to keep their interest. they could not have done better! norah stayed in the backpack up until about the last 10 mins and the girls only wanted to be held for about 5 of those minutes!
playing the fields and having a picnic lunch before our adventure! we were surrounded by the Big 4 Mountains. it was very "sound of music" like! and we're off!! ella and layla were the famous explorers, Dora and Boots :) ella thought we were going to walk to the top of this mountain! some scenery re-hydrating and taking a rest reaching the Ice Caves! this is one of those things where pictures cannot do it justice! the air you felt coming off of it was freezing cold and it was mammoth! they warn you not to go in since it is ice and it could possible cave in :) so the girls hung far back and played in the stream while danny and i ventured a little closer. danny cooling off! back at the campground . . playing in the river
Had the monthly dr. visit today. we got to have another ultrasound and see our little bean! heartbeat is strong and we will find out the sex at our Sept visit - only 8 weeks!!!!!!
pic is blurry, but you get the idea :) he/she is upside down - head on the left of the pic. no baby bump yet (even though the shirt gives the illusion of one) . . sorry kathy :) but do notice the sweater i am having to wear on july 16th!!!! it was only in the 50's when we went out this morning!!
just a little touch of pinkaliscious! i LOVE the shoes!! danny thought she looked like someone out of Camp Rock. i pointed out that almost 5 year olds seem a lot older than the 5 year olds of "our day" . . .we're getting so old :)
