Here is Ella with all her books. And believe me, she likes to read them ALL! Her books are by far her favorite toys! Here's hoping she'll go to Harvard one day :)

And here she is cuddling
HER baby!!

What a smile!

3 month size!

Layla is now able to wear her 3 month size clothes! YAY! She has been so small but it's nice to finally feel a little meat on her bones! She is definitly going to be our dainty one, i think! She goes for her 2 month check on July 12th - time flys when you've got two :)

Here she is doing
what she does
best at the
park today!

She passed out on
Daddy tonight!

Ella's first boyfriend!!

Bill and Rebecca, our next door neighbors, have 2 little boys. Aiden who is almost 2 and Tyler who is 5 months and Ella LOVES Aiden! She gets so excited and happy whenever I tell her we get to go see him. He is ALL boy - she already likes the tough, bad boys!! We went to the park today and here they are playing together. He is too cute - what a pair they make!

How cute
are they!?!?

Mommy's Brag Time!

Wow, I cannot believe Ella is already 18 months - the time is flying by (most days!). She had her 18 mos check up today, no shots - thankfully, and she is "just perfect" - doctor's words, not mine - although I do agree. She weighs 27 pounds putting her in the 90% for weight and she is now a whopping 34 inches (just 2 inches shy of 3 feet!) putting her in the 98% for height. She is going to be all legs! She talks a lot - especially whenever Danny and I try to have a conversation. Most words are still not English :) but she's picking up a few here and there. She says "dada" VERY well and VERY loud! She says "mama" pretty much only when she wants something, she says "go" and "bye" and "baby" and she tries to say banana but it comes out "bana" and just the other day she said "hot dog" - i'm not joking! But what we are most amazed at is how smart she is - and I am not bias :) She understands a lot more than she speaks to you. and now we definitly have to watch what we say and do because she has become quite the mimic. She is a GREAT big sister and a very big helper to me. She brings me diapers and burp cloths and blankets and anything Layla needs. When layla cries ella has now gone to trying to pick her up (which she almost has a couple of times) to calm her down, and she is very good at patting her back. It seems to be only when ella is tired that layla becomes the enemy! Ella still isn't sleeping through the night but we're working on it! We have been so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl who already has a great sense of humor - she keeps us laughing daily! I know it's soo cliche - but the time really does go by and I am doing my best to enjoy it with her even though we are approaching the terrible 2's :)
Thanks for letting me brag on her for a few minutes!!!

Father's Day Hike

For Father's Day, the girls (that still sounds a little weird) and I gave Danny a child carrier for hiking/camping so of course we had to go test it out! We went to Snoqualmie Falls, only about 45 minutes away from us. It was a pretty gray, chilly day but the falls were amazing! Ella loved being the queen on Danny's back and Layla slept the whole time.

A Day in the Life . .

Ever wonder what an 18 month old does all day . .

First, a little light reading.

Then, it's on to Sesame Street
for some dancing!

Later, she helps mommy
fold the laundry!

Finally, while mommy is
distracted with the laundry
she raids the fridge for coke
and yogurt!! :)

Layla and her bouncy seat

Layla is finally beginning to like something other than my arms!! She likes her vibrating bouncy seat - atleast for about 10 minutes here and there. Here she is sporting her Auburn onsie. To give you an idea of how tiny she is to us - Ella was only able to wear that one day . . the day she was born and then outgrew it. Layla is still wearing it one month later :) we have matching Auburn cheerleading outfits for them but who knows how long it will be before Layla can fit in hers. I am hoping come August!!

New Arrival

We got the news that Danny's younger sister, Katie, gave birth to her first baby, a little girl, on Friday June 1st!! All are doing well!! Now if we can ever make it back down south Ella and Layla finally have little cousins their age to play with :) Say hello to Miss Ava . . . how cute is she!!

What a diva!!

As if we didn't already know Ella was ALL girl - today she discovered my purses and has been carrying them around all day refusing to give them up. She even took them with us to the grocery store, with the hat!!! Like mother, like daughter I guess.

Layla

Here are a few more pics of Layla. She is able to hold her head up a lot more these days!!
