Toddler Talk

I think I could write a book with all the things I over hear in a day with 2 toddlers walking around :) I try to jot the truly funny ones down in their baby books but here are some of my recent favs:

(while riding in the car)
Ella: Layla, what's that on your leg?
Layla: I don't know.
Ella: Well are you gonna eat it?
Layla: Uhh, OK!
Ella: Was it good?
Layla: Yea!!

I still don't know what she ate and I don't really care to find out. She will do just about anything her big sis tells her to do!

(playing on her phone: talking to the DR's office - this was the day after we got our flu shots)

Ella: Yes, we just moved from Seatte. Yes I'm 3, I'll be 4 in December. My husband is crazy.

This made me laugh out loud!! And NO, I don't talk that way about Danny :)

Take those country roads back home, Mountaineers!

WAAAARRRRR EAGLE, HEY! Danny got 2 Auburn tickets for the West VA game on Saturday!! It's been 5 years, and although many things have changed since our last visit, it was still the Auburn I LOVE!!!! We spent most of the day just walking around and seeing College Street and our old stomping grounds . . even though my beloved Noble Hall is gone . . Dorm M (Kappa dorm) was still there :) I know embarrassed Danny, making him take my picture in front of everything, but I didn't care!
danny concealing his drink so we could walk the campus :)

in front of Samford

tailgating in the tent

it was a full house!

impending doom! we had a great day until about 20 mins before kick-off. then the clouds opened up, aong with some nasty lightning, and we stayed in the rain, delaying kick-off about an hour!

sporting our cool ponchos, standing in the concourse of the stadium with thousands of our closest friends :)

after the game!

GO TIGERS! it may not have been the prettiest, but we won and it was great! 3-0!

I cannot sasy enough how wonderful it was to be back in Auburn! Next time, i hope to take my little cheerleaders!

bath time hair

norah's hair is getting so long that it barely stands up anymore after her bath, so i thought i'd get one good pic of it! it can already go behind her ears, and she has bangs :)

she'll be 3 months tomorrow! she is out of ALL her newborn clothes now, wearing 3-6 mos sizes. she loves to "talk" to us, and her smile and giggle comes out more and more everyday. she's not sleeping as much during the day as i'd like (for totally selfish reasons!) but she is getting better about playing on her activity mat. she LOVES watching football - really!! she calms down whenever it comes on :) a girl after our own hearts!! her eyes have stayed blue so far - danny thinks she is going to take after layla and myself. i can't quite tell just yet. she has been an amazing baby up to this point!

giddy-up grandma!

oh the things she does for her grandchildren :)

labor day in hot'lanta!

we spent sunday & monday in atlanta with kathy and ryan so we could go to stone mountain for the laser show & fireworks! this is by far one of my fav things to do in the southeast and the girls enjoyed it as well! there's tons more to do there now than when i was little - which makes me feel old!
the mountain!

testing out the spot on the lawn!

"layla's boy" aka ricky :)

riding the train!

tried to get a family pic

getting ready for the show!

it's great to be an auburn tiger!

it's that time of year again! WAR EAGLE! it may only be La Tech but we've started out with a winning record :) the girls enjoyed their outfits and shakers on game day! we're hoping to make it down to auburn one of these weekends! it's been almost 6 years and the plains are calling my name!!

growing. . growing. . gone!

10 weeks and getting longer by the day! she is sleeping 6-8 hours at night and eating like a champ - finally!

silly layla

always happy, always laid back, always laughing! she has just the best personality for a 2 year old ... and i think she's pretty darn cute :)

new toy!

i brought out the activity mat for norah this week. she's pretty content to sit in the boppy and play with her big sisters. she even survived a bit of tummy time :)

bathtime smiles

she is all of a sudden the length of her hammock :) she is definitely the happiest in the tub!

tell her to smile, and she strikes the pose :)

ella got her stitches out this week without incident! everything seems to be healing OK.
